Product Growth Strategies: Lessons from Lululemon, Cotton On & TOM Organic with Brooke Franklin

Brooke is a powerhouse in the product world with a deep and diverse background – from fashion retail to rocking the fitness and sportswear scene and tearing it up in the fast-paced world of FMCG across Australia and Asia. Brooke’s not just a big deal; she’s the real deal.

Heard of Lululemon? Brooke helped grow the Lululemon brand for a solid seven years. She started with running stores, then handled operations, and finally ended up in charge of over $100 million in retail stores. She then took up the position of General Manager at TOM Co, leading the business to expand into period underwear and eventually, a super successful sale.

You’re likely also familiar with Cotton On, where Brooke dominated the Country Manager position, weaving her magic over high-volume apparel before taking a sharp right turn to Head Up the Cotton On Foundation.

But, she’s not just about the big players. Brooke has cred in the small business game too. She’s taken small startups from just an idea to hitting the market, including pet food brand “Drool” and a bathroom brand she built from scratch for Cotton On. She’s also coached numerous startups along the way.

Building teams, crafting killer plans, and shaping the very products we love, Brooke’s not just a leader – she’s a legend. With a knack for thinking like a small business while making big things happen, she’s the ultimate facilitator of strategic and sustainable scale.

“Growing a product business is like a dance – juggling customer insights, crafting an awesome product, convincing buyers, nailing operations and stock management. It’s not just about selling great stuff, you’ve got to plan for the future too.”
