Zero Co | On A Mission to Untrash the Planet
Mike Smith is the Founder of Zero Co, a company that delivers personal & home-cleaning products direct to your door, minus the single-use plastic. With its reusable bottled and refill subscription, it’s kind of like the old-school milkman reimagined.
Mike doesn’t consider himself an activist.
He is however a man on a mission and when he hiked to one of the most remote places on the planet and found trash waiting for him he knew he had to do something about it. So he returned home to Australia, threw in his life savings, and kick-started Zero Co to what has rapidly become a household name with a mission to untrash the planet. With over 50k monthly users he’s well on his way.
It’s a simple concept with potentially BIG results.
As I interviewed Mike over my kitchen table for the latest episode of the podcast it struck me that the simplest ideas are often the best. Finding out what people need, and then delivering it in the most efficient way possible while considering people, profit and planet.
“Zero Co began as an idea, dreamt up by an unemployed bloke in need of a shave, a shower, and a good hard look in the mirror.“
