Now I love a good productivity hack, not just in business but in life – because really – who wants to spend more time in front of their computer than they need to?

Not me. 

What I love is hiking, running, surfing and working in my garden, so the more productive I can be with work, the more time I can spend doing the other things that I also love.

SO I’ll give you these in rapid-fire – my 7 productivity hacks for life & business

  1. My 30 second rule
    If it takes less than 30 seconds do it now!
  2. Batch create
    When I’m in the zone with something there is no stopping me.
  3. Focus on 1 or minimal tasks for the day
    For example, I work up feeling really inspired to lay down content, so I’ve dedicated the whole day to writing and recording podcasts.  By not switching tasks, I find myself in the slipstream. I’m not switching between email, socials, course creation – I’m JUST podcasting.  No task-switching means I’m at peak productivity, and wasting no time at all.
  4. Batch creation at home
    Does the idea of housework daunt you? Batch create it! Spend a day dedicated to the garden, a day dedicated to painting the fence or an afternoon of sorting & cleaning.
  5. Get up earlier & make the most of the morning slipstream
    This has been a MASSIVE superhack to building my business At 4am your brain is between theta and alpha states therefore the mind is capable of deep and profound learning being fully aware and focused with an effortlessly calm mind.  You can think of this as a slipstream of productivity in a very calm state – it’s magic. It’s also free from distractions, there’s a calmness to your house, your neighbourhood, and the world. This naturally lends itself to focusing on the important things, rather than the urgent things, which is essential for productivity. You’ll find that most of the world’s most successful people get up very early. So set those alarm clocks peeps!
  6. Get one thing done before going to socials/email
    Work on one thing before opening any of your email or social channels. For example, write a blog post, piece of content, start building your online program, organising your social strategy.  Saves me time because without distraction I move through this work SO much faster!
  7. Write list the night before
    On average we make 35,000 conscious decisions per day – say WHAT?! Decisions are HUGE time wasters, also can cause decision fatigue! This sets you up for the slipstream in the morning. When you get to your desk early – you’ve already prioritised what you’re going to work on so no time is wasted in decision making. You know exactly what you’re doing, and you’re good to go!

So there you have it folks,  my 7 productivity hacks for life & business!

I have used these for the past 10 years in my business, and trust me… they work!
