OC:  TELL US ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS AND WHAT YOU DO
SS: I’m a Success and Business Coach for women coaches, creatives and wellness practitioners at serenasandstrom.com. I’m also the creator of impactfulselling.com. My mission is to elevate business owners to powerful leaders in their business and life.

OC: HOW DO YOU DEFINE SUCCESS?

SS:  Achievement + fulfilment

OC:  WHAT SACRIFICES HAVE YOU HAD TO MAKE TO BE A SUCCESSFUL ENTREPRENEUR?

SS:  Late nights and weekend work. Today I’m grateful that I very rarely allow my sacred space during the weekends to be filled with work.

OC:  WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY?

SS:  Spending time with my family, my Chinchilla cat Sparkles, sunshine and the ocean, massages, shoes and handbags, travelling the world.

OC:  TELL US ABOUT A HIGH POINT IN YOUR CAREER

SS:  Becoming one of the 1%:ers and taking a stand for my desires as a success coach for women entrepreneurs

OC:  NOW TELL US ABOUT A LOW POINT

SS:  It was actually when I jumped off the career ladder and had my own eat.pray.love moment sobbing on my bathroom floor. It took me 3 months to recover from the 14 years in retail.

OC:  WHAT DID YOU NEED TO KNOW TO GET OUT OF THERE?

SS:  Get connected to how much courage I have and be proud that I was following my desires

OC:  TEA OR COFFEE?

SS:  Neither…a veggie juice please!

OC:  WHAT HABITS HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL?

SS: Investing in myself…I’m a business and personal development junkie and it shows in my results, having a long term head coach, self care rituals such as morning yoga, lunch breaks away from my desk as much as possible, regular massages & holidays that have digital detox built in them.

OC:  HOW DO YOU GENERATE NEW IDEAS?

SS: Taking myself away from my daily surroundings (read: regular holidays), creating space for the new ideas to be heard.  Reading relevant books, studying entrepreneurialism, learning…I LOVE learning new, it’s one of my core desires.

OC: IF YOU HAD THE CHANCE TO START YOUR CAREER AGAIN, WHAT WOULD YOU DO DIFFERENTLY?

SS:  Have more faith in myself and take more time for myself and life outside of business.

OC: IF YOU COULD SHARE ONE PIECE OF BUSINESS ADVICE WITH OTHERS, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

SS: Know what you stand for and develop your intuition, you will come across a lot of differing views and advise, so get really good at trusting you own gut in what works for YOU

OC:  GIVE US THE 5 WORDS OTHER PEOPLE WOULD USE TO DESCRIBE YOU

SS:  Others or my husband? That’s quite different…I’m a woman! Well, these are actual: Driven (husband’s version: impatient), authentic, quirky, passionate (husbands version: intense), intuitive.
