Plans to conquer the world today include but are not limited to; marathon training for the Olympics 2020, study neuro-linguistics, raise a future Elon Musk, build a global business empire, cure world hunger and oh, find inner peace.

Sound familiar?

This past weekend, I added to my list of mum/entrepreneur/Olympic gymnast expectations of myself, to learn how to teach, {not just practice as that would be letting myself off the hook}, Meditation and Mindfulness. Yup. With no background in this area and only my own daily practice to offer, I decided that what I really needed in life was more pressure to do another thing. By adding another thing to the list of things that I already have to do, a hugely life altering thing, that then requires a whole new level of thing. Funny thing is, it didn’t go to plan.

On an epic, world-record breaking scale.

Three hours in – I grabbed all my things and ran. I ran fast and hard and with such swift action that the poor teacher had no idea what had happened. One minute I was deep in reflective meditation contemplating my life’s existence and the next – out the door, overflowing bags in arms and in the truck before you could say, “Nameste me outta here!” The irony is not lost on me, not my most mindful Zen moment of #gratitude #blessed #yogaeverydamnday.

Not exactly how Type A entrepreneurs who push themselves every day to be every level of every thing to every one, want to roll in the world of kickin’ goals in personal development, huh?

I mean, what would Marie Forleo say?

But here’s what I decided after 4 days of further life contemplation and obsessing, searching the Instagram Oracle for answers to all of life’s most difficult questions.

Breakin’ it down;

  1. Inner peace ain’t on a To Do List. It takes a lifetime to learn how to live and that is totally ok. Even for Type A entrepreneurs, no, we are not allowed to set goals for Nirvana – it doesn’t work like that.
  2. Fear is your biggest teacher and your best friend. Invite him/her over for a cup of tea and chat, boy is it illuminating!
  3. In a world where we race to find success, the happiness that comes from the un-hustle is a way cooler thing to strive for and available when you give yourself a big, gold star {just like you’ve always wanted}.

So, now we jump in the jam! Over to YOU GUYS. This week’s OC CHAT Question is –

How do you un-hustle in your world?

Drop in and share your thoughts with your fellow OC tribers on the blog, as we discuss the big and small ideas and how we entrepreneurs can understand the stuff that matters. Boom!
