OC: TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT WHAT YOU DO
KJ: I’m the girl at the party that stops the conversation dead, right after I’m asked ‘so what do you do?’ For some reason ‘I’m an intuitive and I help people clear the shit that holds them back from having a business or life they love’ either makes me a lot of new friends or finds me having a one person dance party in the corner.
OC: HOW DO YOU DEFINE SUCCESS?
KJ: The way you feel when you wake up every day! What good is your degree, long client list, money in the bank if you still need to pop an anti depressant?
OC: WHAT KICK ASS DAILY HABITS DO YOU HAVE IN PLACE?
KJ: Does a large latte count? Before I open my eyes and think about what I need to achieve in a day I ask my soul, ‘what do you truly desire’. The answer gets me in touch with my truth and allows me to then set my intentions from the right place.
OC: WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY?
KJ: Beaches, sunshine, nature, my kid, ice cream, having a business where I get to decide exactly what I do with my days, having control over my income, hours, creativity, productivity and the effect I have on people and the world, the ability to fly anywhere in the world. Do you have all idea because I can keep going.
OC: TELL US ABOUT A HIGH POINT IN YOUR CAREER
KJ: Sitting in the sun on a quiet white sandy beach in Thailand helping one of my favourite clients create the life she wants AND getting paid for it.
OC: CAN WE ASK FOR A LOW POINT?
KJ: When I used to think I had to teach what people wanted and say what people were expecting. I didn’t realise I had total creative freedom and expression. It was so much harder then. What did you need to know to get out of there? I just need to share what I truly belief in, teach what I really know and stand for my own worth.
OC: TEA OR COFFEE?
KJ: Stupid question. If you don’t know the answer you’re not my people. Just kidding. Tea lovers I love you even in your imperfection.
OC: HOW DO YOU GENERATE NEW IDEAS?
KJ: Think like a little kid and ask myself ‘what would make this so much more fun, exciting, flowing, easy?’ I also just ask myself what I’d really like to do or contemplate what I feel called to share, do, create. I’m all about following the soul rather than the head.
OC: IF YOU HAD THE CHANCE TO START YOUR CAREER OVER AGAIN, WHAT WOULD YOU DO DIFFERENTLY?
KJ: Which career? There have been so many important parts that have led me to where I am today, from sales, to teaching dance, to working apart of a travel company and even cleaning! To be honest I don’t think I’d do anything differently. I might just float back through time and whisper in my young ear to myself ‘you can create anything you want, just dream it and turn a blind eye to anyone that says you can’t do it, you’ll surprise yourself’. I might also let her know she’s so much smarter than she ever thought!
OC: IF YOU COULD SHARE ONE PIECE OF BUSINESS ADVICE WITH OTHERS, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
KJ: Even though it looks like a good idea to follow the model, whatever model that is for your industry you’ll make a bigger impact and name for yourself if you follow your heart instead. Your intuition has all the answers and it will be way quicker to success if you follow that.
OC: GIVE US 3 WORDS OTHER PEOPLE WOULD USE TO DESCRIBE YOU
KJ: Inspiration, Intuitive, Real
